我們都知道詞根詞綴是擴充單詞的好方法，當我們興衝衝地去買一本詞根詞綴書，勵志用此法成為詞彙量過萬的英語達人的時候，又被幾頁的詞根目錄打擊的將書扔掉了。其實我們常用的詞根詞綴一共就250ge左右，其中，前綴加後綴100個，詞根100-150個。小編這裡總結了最常用的詞根詞綴，我們馬上開始學習吧。
一、Ambul=walk，行走，走路
詞根記憶：ambulance救護車，——————四處行走的救護車
1、 ambulance 救護車
2、 ambulant 可以行走的，可以移動的—————— able to walk about
詞根：ambul-表示行走
後綴：-ant 形容詞或名詞後綴，並且表示名詞的時候多指人。例如important，例如assistant（助理），例如accountant（會計）
3、 circumambulate 環行，繞….而行_—————walk around something
前綴：circum-表示周圍，例如circumstance（環境）
後綴：-ate 動詞或者形容詞後綴。例如accelerate（加速），例如private（私人的），例如considerate（考慮周到）
4、 perambulate 巡行，徘徊，漫步——————walk with no particular goal
前綴：per-表示從頭到尾，從始至終，例如perfect（從頭做到尾就是完美）
後綴：-ate 動詞或者形容詞後綴，這裡表示動詞

3、 inanimate 沒有生命的，沒有生氣的，單調的——————not endowed with life

4、 magnanimous 寬宏大量的———————noble and generous in spirit
前綴：magn- 表示大，例如magnify 使變大
詞根: anim 表示生命
後綴：-ous 形容詞後綴，例如famous
I was prepared to be magnanimous, prepared to feel compassion for him.
我願意表現的寬宏大量，願意同情他的境遇。
5、 unanimous 意見一致的————————in complete agreement
前綴：un- 表示單一的，例如 unit（單元）
後綴：-ous 形容詞後綴

6、 animosity 憎恨，厭惡 ——————— a feeling of ill will arousing active hostility
