如果對雞尾酒行業有所涉獵，那你一定對Ada Coleman這個名字不會陌生——23歲時，她成為傳奇的倫敦薩伏伊酒店酒吧（Savoy Hotel）的首位女性首席調酒師，創造了Hanky Panky（金酒、苦艾酒和菲奈特-布蘭卡調製）等經典雞尾酒，被譽為「英格蘭最知名的女酒保」。
Anyone who knows their cocktail history is sure to know Ada Coleman, inventor of the Hanky Panky cocktail (a mix of gin, vermouth and Fernet Branca) and the 23-year head bartender of the illustrious Savoy Hotel in London since 1905 who was once dubbed 「England’s most famous barmaid」.

如今，我們已經無法想像，缺少了女性，酒吧行業將失去多少美、創意與樂趣。今天夏天，一年一度的君度女王賽即將再次到來，將聚光燈對準這些女性調酒師，為這個行業的女生們提供展現實力與風採的機會。
Even in the bar scene now, it’s impossible to imagine it without the fairer sex adding their creativity, attention to detail and point of view to the drinking experience. This summer, to celebrate the role that women have played in modern bartending and to help them put their skills centre stage, Cointreau’s announced the return of its Cointreau Queens Cocktail Competition, to be held across five cities in the region.
自2013年首屆君度女王賽以來，共有超過130位中國女性調酒師參與其中，展現了高超的技術、淵博的學識、豐富的創意，以及各自的女性魅力——優雅、活潑、甜美、溫柔、奔放，徵服了評委與觀眾。讓我們回顧一下，歷年加冕君度女王的優勝調酒師的精彩表現：
Counting more than 130 China-based female bartenders among its ranks since its launch in 2013, the competition has showcased the skills, knowledge, creativity and girl power that lady bartenders bring to the bar counter. Here’s a look back at some of the women who』ve triumphed at past editions of the competition:

今年8月，君度女王賽的熱力將再次來襲！今年君度女王賽將覆蓋大中華區的調酒女傑，共設五大賽區，包括華東、華北、華南、西南和中國臺灣。中國大陸四場區域初選賽將在北京（8月22日）、上海（8月24日）、深圳（8月29日）和重慶（8月31日）先後打響。各賽區的佼佼者，將於10月底集結，爭奪君度女王的終極榮耀。
This August, the Cointreau Queens Cocktail Competition will take place in five regions in Greater China, before gathering the winners from the regional preliminary rounds together for the finals in late October. The competition will take place in the following cities in Mainland China: Beijing (Aug 22), Shanghai (Aug 24), Shenzhen (Aug 29) and Chongqing (Aug 31). Winners from Taiwan will also be joining the winners from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chongqing in the finals.
同往年一樣，今年的君度女王賽也將以三人一組的形式報名，其中主角——也就是女王候選人——自然要是一位女性。她的兩名隊友性別不限，但要求為在職調酒師。女王候選人將與二位隊友通力合作，在地區預賽中共同完成三項挑戰。
This year, the Cointreau Queens Cocktail Competition will test the Queens』 abilities to lead a squad of three professional bartenders through a series of three team challenges.
首先是一分鐘速度賽，女王候選人將帶領兩位搭檔，在一分鐘內，每人完成兩杯君度菲絲雞尾酒（Cointreau Fizz）。能否在規定時間內完成六杯質量統一、又呈現出個人特點的雞尾酒，將是這一輪的主要看點。
The first round will test their speed. Each team member will be asked to make two Cointreau Fizzes under one minute. Consistency, agility and a signature style are the key things that the judges will be looking out for here.
接下來兩輪，酒飲必須由女王候選人親自製作，搭檔們只能從旁協助，不能越庖代俎。首先女王候選人將在隊友們的協助下，製作一杯君度經典雞尾酒——白色佳人（White Lady）或邊車（Sidecar）。在製作經典雞尾酒時，女王候選人們還需要準確地講述經典雞尾酒背後的故事。
Next, the Queen will be required to mix up a classic Cointreau cocktail – a White Lady of a Sidecar, while telling the historical story of the drink she makes. While her teammates are there to aid her in the presentation, the Queen will ultimately serve her drinks to the judges.
在創意雞尾酒環節，參賽選手要探索君度橙酒的風味特徵，調製一杯足以講述自己人生經歷的君度原創雞尾酒。此外，女王候選人們還要用一種充滿吸引力的方式呈現這款酒——一個朗朗上口的好名字，並在酒單描述中，向客人介紹自己的作品，並為它定價。
In the last round, the Queen will be asked to make an original cocktail that will tell her story. This is a drink that'll need to be attractive and enticing, as well as have an interesting name and menu description, and a price to match.

四位行業前輩也將作為導師助陣，他們分別是華北賽區的Paul許可宗、華東賽區的Carson謝俊、華南賽區的Terry黃貴恆以及西南賽區的Ryan李毅。他們將全程參與君度女王賽，傳授調酒技巧，分享人生經驗，為參賽選手提供指導和支持。
Judging and mentoring the Queens at this year’s competition are four industry gurus who』ll be travelling to the different cities to undertake their duties. They are:

君度女王賽不僅僅是一場調酒競技，而是希望以此為契機，幫助中國的女性調酒師快速成長，全面發展。今年的君度女王賽設置了獨特的大師班環節，旨在提高調酒師的溝通技巧，以沉著得體地應對酒吧工作中的各種狀況，自信且專業地展現魅力。
More than just a competition, the Cointreau Queens Cocktail Competition will also continue in its mission to elevate and advance the craft of female bartenders in China. This year’s masterclasses hope to improve bartenders』 communication skills, so they』ll be armed to deal calmly with difficult situations that may arise at the bar, as well as help them bring out their charm, confidence and professionalism as they further their career in this industry.
