雒老師Joy有話說：前段時間，有人在群裡問ice cream是單數還是複數，關於這個，我之前回答過相關問題，基本涵蓋了大家想知道的問題。我看很多人問的問題其實不難，看看詞典就可以看出答案了，比如下面很多例句就是詞典裡面的，一看便可以得出問題答案了！
一. ice cream是可數名詞嗎
ice cream既可以當可數名詞，也可以當不可數名詞，具體看是指抽象的冰淇淋，還是指具體一份或者兩份冰淇淋：
1. 不可數，表示抽象的冰淇淋或者前面已經有量詞了。
A. 表示抽象的冰淇淋
Desserts are served with cream or ice cream.甜點上加奶油或冰激凌。
I'll get you some ice cream.我會給你買些冰激凌。Ice cream is high in fat and sugar. 冰激凌富含脂肪和糖。
B. Ice cream前面已經有量詞了，例：
I ate two dishes of ice cream. 我吃了兩碟冰淇淋。The boy ate several dishfuls of ice cream. 那小男孩吃了好幾滿盤冰淇淋。
2. 可數名詞，指一份冰淇淋。例：
Who wants an ice cream?誰要冰激凌？
The boy charged up and asked for an ice cream. 這個男孩跑上來，要了一份冰淇淋。
3. ice cream 複數為什麼不加s？
可數名詞的時候，是可以加s的，如The boy charged up and asked for two ice creams. 這個男孩跑上來，要了兩份冰淇淋。
4.ice cream 可以寫為icecream ？
可以的，不過還是前者使用的更多。
5.some ice cream 是不是不用加S ？
不加，這裡是一些冰淇淋，而不是一份或者兩份冰淇淋，所以屬於不可數。I'll get you some ice cream. 我會給你買些冰激凌。
兩份的時候可以說two ice creams，正如coffee是不可數的，但會說 ：two coffees.而不是 two cups of coffee. 這是一種習慣用語，如果說兩碟，就是two dishes of ice cream

二．ice cream前面加a還是加an

三．icecream和ice-cream的區別。英語連音符有時候用有時候不用，有區別嗎？
ice-cream既可以是形容詞，也可以是名詞
A. 冰淇淋的，乳白色的
He sucked ice-cream soda through a straw.
他用麥杆吸冰淇淋汽水。
B.可以是名詞，類似於ice cream，不過從使用頻率來說，ice cream更高。
She gave them extra helpings of ice-cream.
她又給了他們幾份冰激凌。
The Italian way is to round off a meal with an ice-cream
義大利人總是在用餐結束時來份冰激凌。
