《賓克斯的美酒》源於動漫源於日本動漫《海賊王》。因為從水手到海賊王都會唱這首歌，因此也被稱為「海賊之歌」。相信每一個海賊迷都非常熟悉這首歌，也非常超級喜歡這首歌。我總是會在上下班的路上無數次的單曲循環，因為海賊王愛上了這首歌曲。《海賊王》像人生的旅行，包含了很多淺顯與深奧的道理，有如夢想和友情的淺顯，也有如種族難融、人權、正義的深奧。它所塑造的人物立體，並不是非黑即白。不管是人物，還是動物都有為此守護的家人、朋友、家鄉、財富、理想、信念以及內心的真實等等。看《海賊王》的過程，有快樂，也有揪心，當然也有哭得止不住的時候。總之，這是一部感動我帶給我力量的動漫。
因為喜歡，所以試著翻譯了這首歌曲。
大學時候學的日文早已還給了老師，歌詞只能零星看懂一點，因此從好幾個中文譯文版本中選出了一個相對喜歡的版本，根據這個版本，又加入自己的理解，翻譯出了英文版。

這首歌的中文版翻譯的很好，多採用四字格，使歌曲遒勁，翻譯出了氣勢和意境，然而英語先天不足，無法按照漢語四字格翻譯，因此我採用動名詞短語連用的方式，把四字格變為動名詞短語，以此來儘量順應四字連珠的格局，使譯文流暢。
