你以為 interesting 指代的是「有意思」？
其實英語裡，它可能有很多負面的含義。
今天我們就來說說如何正確打開 interesting！

為什麼 interesting 用起來有點危險呢？因為如果用的語氣不對，會導向比較微妙的意思。如果你用有點兒猶豫、複雜的語氣說 interesting，可能會讓人覺得：
Leaves things hanging.懸而不決
Something is off/wrong.一言難盡、有貓膩
如果你真的覺得對一個事物感興趣（ interested），就需要追加問題，而不是只說一個 interesting：
It begs follow-up questions.還有下文、有更多問題

Someone is an interesting character.
如果你說一個人是「interesting character」，則指這個人與眾不同、經歷豐富（比如說 Spencer）：
He doesn't go with the flow.他不隨大流。
而單純用 interesting 向別人形容一個人的話，一般態度是比較中立的。當然，具體也要看語氣，如果用的是比較微妙的語氣，那麼 interesting 通常指「奇怪」：
He has very interesting tastes.他的品味很奇怪。
Interesting不代表好玩、幽默。如果想形容一個人很幽默，最好直接用：
Fun person:很會玩，在一起會很好玩的人
Funny person:很幽默的人

Something is interesting.
Interesting形容事，這件事往往是引發你思考的，不是簡單的有意思、有娛樂性：
- How was the party?派對怎麼樣？
- It was interesting.很有意思（聚會上你見了很多有意思的人，聊過有意思的話題，讓你有所得）。
- It was fun.吃好、喝好、玩好的聚會。
用來形容書籍和電影也可以：
- How was the movie/book?電影/書籍怎麼樣？
- An interesting movie/book.有意思、有意義的電影或者書籍。
-A fun movie/book.好玩的電影或者書籍。
People's reaction is more interesting.人們的反應更有意思。
04.
Replace "interesting" with...
用 interesting 這個詞，坑真不少！所以在日常對話中，如果你對一件事物的態度很積極，覺得很棒，可以用這些詞：
Awesome
Terrific
Great
形容你的旅途可以這麼說（如果用 interesting trip 讓人感覺你的旅途可能發生了點什麼）：
- How was your trip?旅行怎麼樣？
-It was awesome/terrific/great!很棒！
