最近，《中國詩詞大會》第四季完美收官，收視數據僅次於《新聞聯播》和天氣預報，再一次彰顯了它播一季火一季的魅力，在全國範圍內又一次掀起全民讀詩熱。
連續參加了四季《中國詩詞大會》的北大博士生陳更終於拿到了冠軍的獎盃，但她的目標不是冠軍，而是將中國傳統文化傳播出去「如果我能在傳播傳統文化的道路上多做了那麼一點點事，讓更多人看到中國古典詩詞的美好，我覺得都是值得的。」
古詩詞是中國的文化瑰寶，在全球化的今天，如何儘可能完整地把這份瑰寶的美分享出去就是很多翻譯大師嘔心瀝血在做的事。當詩詞遇上英文，會碰撞出怎樣的火花？

古詩翻譯成英文，常常被人吐槽「失去了韻味」，但讓傳統文化走出國門，翻譯是必經之路。
早在1972年美國總統尼克森訪華，在祝酒詞的最後就引用了「So many deeds cry out to be done，and always urgently；the world rolls on，time presses。Ten thousand years are too long；seize the day，seize the hour！（多少事，從來急；天地轉，光陰迫。一萬年太久，只爭朝夕）」 表達他希望中美邦交正常化的迫切心情。
