4月30日晚，在一場以「太陽照常升起」主題的線上音樂發布會上，眾人期待已久的新曲《日出東方》首次公開面世，氣勢磅礴的歌詞一出場便抓住了國內外聽眾的心，發布會後不久，該歌詞就被翻譯成英文版本在國外廣泛流傳。

據了解，這首《日出東方》是由馬小秋親自作詞作曲，馬小秋是一個十分熱愛傳統文化的人，因此歌詞中融入了不少傳統文化的背景，如歌詞中出現的「天地玄黃，宇宙洪荒」一句，其中 「天地玄黃」出自於《易經》，「宇宙洪荒」出自於《淮南子》與《太玄經》。而這兩句又是《千字文》的首句；
「山川異域，風月同天」出自《繡袈裟衣緣》作者是日本長屋王。這句話來源於1300多年前中日友好交往的一段佳話。根據記載鑑真事跡的歷史典籍《東徵傳》，公元八世紀，日本長屋親王曾在贈送大唐的千件袈裟上，繡上十六字偈語：山川異域，風月同天，寄諸佛子，共結來緣；

而歌詞中多次出現的「惟願」二字最早出自《六度集經》，原文為「惟願大人病瘳福臻，永保無終之壽。」馬小秋借佛經中的大慈悲心，來表達希望疫情趕緊被治癒，福澤降臨世間的美好願景。
