I am a star.
You can't see me in the daytime.
There is too much light.
You can't see me on a cloudy night.
I hide behind clouds.
You can see stars on a clear night.
Long ago,people saw pictures in stars.
The pictures are called constellations.
Some people saw bears.
Some people saw dippers.
I am the last star in the Little Dipper's handle.
Can you find me?
I am the North Star. I am also called Polaris.
Wait a few months.
Look again.
All the stars have moved except me!
Can you still see me?
I stay in the North.
Sailors use me to find their way.
The sun is a star.
It is the star nearest to you.
It gives you heat and light.

手工拓展
在閱讀繪本的時候，我們講到如果想要更好地觀測到星星，我們需要一樣工具，那就是望遠鏡（telescope）！雖然專業的望遠鏡只能在天文館中見到，但是小朋友們可以嘗試在家做一個手工望遠鏡，也很有趣哦～
首先，我們需要準備如下材料：
1. 紙杯和紙卷芯
2. 大小刷子
3. 各色顏料
4. 彩色畫筆
首先，紙杯去掉底部，固定在衛生紙筒上。
其次，用刷子給望遠鏡上色。
最後，對瓶身進行裝飾。
如果碰上特別的節日，小朋友們可以剪下和紙杯口大小相同的彩紙，寫上自己想說的話貼在望遠鏡的「鏡頭」上哦～
這樣一來，爸爸媽媽們是不是就看到最美的星空了
作繪者簡介
Jean Marzollo（簡·馬佐羅）
出生於美國，當代兒童作家、插畫家，美國國家老師協會賦予她「給孩子的100本圖書」獲得者的稱號。
她的另外一套作品《I Spy》系列大家一定聽說過。全球銷量已經突破2千萬冊，是暢銷近二十年的全球視覺益智遊戲的經典之作。作者早年畢業於哈佛教育專業，很擅長寫詩歌題材，因此在創作兒童作品的時候也將詩歌融合到其中，所以她的作品讀起來押韻、朗朗上口、有節奏感。
Judith Moffatt（朱迪斯·莫法特）
美國剪紙藝術家，已出版50多本兒童讀物，她剪紙的繪畫風格新穎，生動活潑，顏色豐富，具有很強的藝術表現力。
