Pricing authorities in the eastern city of Hangzhou on Tuesday made public two proposals to hike taxi fares, as a public hearing, which was triggered by a massive cab driver strike earlier this month, is just two weeks away.
周二，杭州市物價部門對外公布兩套計程車提價方案，並將於兩周後進行聽證。本月早些時候，杭州發生大規模計程車司機罷運事件。
提價，英文中是fare hike或price hike，只不過fare側重於只乘坐車船支付的票價，而price多指賣方對商品的「定價」。在pricing authorities（物價部門）公布的調價方案中，都提到要將flag-down fare（起步價）提高。所謂「起步價」就是指the minimum charge for hiring a taxi, to which the rate per kilometer is added。
8月初，杭州發生cab driver strike（計程車罷運）事件，約1500名司機take to the street（上街抗議），抗議gasoline price（油價）、housing price（房價）等都漲價了，唯獨計程車價格不漲。目前，上海、廣州、北京等地都已陸續調整計程車運價或加收fuel surcharge（燃油附加費），杭州市出租司機普遍感到生活壓力加大。這次罷運持續了3天，政府向司機們發放了temporary subsidies（臨時補助），並承諾將提高運價。
