最近一直在說介詞用法，今天是最後一篇有關介詞的文章。今天要說的是 in front of 和 in the front of，少了一個詞，方位不同。
先說 in front of，表示在一物外部的前面，而不是在一空間內的前部。比如房前一一in front of the house。看圖：
in front of the house
We gave her the quilt in front of the house. 我們在房前把被子送給了她。
in front of the car
We are standing in front of the car.我們站在汽車前面。
再看看in the front of，意為在一樣內部空間的前部，比如司機在汽車前排開車，老師在教室內前面講課，都用in the front of...,我們看圖：
in the front of the car
The baby and I were in the front of the car.寶寶和我在車子前排。
in the front of the classroom
She is standing in the front of the classroom.她站在教室前面。
但若說這位女老師站在黑板前面，則說：
She is standing in front of the blackboard.
黑板太薄了，老師是不能處在黑板內部的前面的啊！
或者說她在我們面前，也不加the：She is in front of us.
