after 詳解

1. after 的基本用法

①after接時間點時，可用於一般過去時或一般將來時。如：

He will come back after next month.He came back after 4 o』clock.

② after接時間段時多用於過去時。如：

He came back after two days. After two days, I went to visit Tom.The meeting began after three o'clock, and after three hours, it was over.

2. after的其它用法

①after還可以表示：在後面；追趕；依照

He walked out, and Louise went after him. The boy was named Tom after his grandfather.

② after作連詞，引導時間狀語從句。如：

（注意時態主將從現）
I』ll leave after he comes back.I went to bed after I have finished  my homework  

3. after固定搭配

3) month after month 一月又一月,每月4) night after night 一夜又一夜,每夜6) one after another 一個接一個地，接連地16) ever after 自從，從那時以後一直
