英語語法:短語at best, at least, at most的用法

副詞短語在句中的功能相當於副詞，通常在句中作定語、表語或者狀語。

 

29. at best至多

用法：at best通常放在句尾，表示讓步。類似的詞組還有at the best。

 

例句：I think you can finish half of your homework tonight at best.

我覺得你今晚最多能完成一半的作業。

 

結構分析：I是主語， think是謂語，後面緊跟賓語從句， you是主語， can finish是謂語（情態動詞+動詞原形）， half of your homework是賓語（half of和your是前置定語，修飾homework）， tonight是時間狀語， at best是狀語。

 

30. at least至少

用法：at least在句中修飾謂語，也可以修飾賓語，類似的詞組還有at the lowest。

 

例句：I’m expecting at least 20 participants. (2014年12月四級)

我希望至少20個人參加。

 

31. at most至多

用法：at most與at least意思相反，類似的詞組還有at the most, at the verymost。

 

例句：The author permits her children to use the screen for at most half an hour a day.  (2014年6月四級)

這個作家允許她的孩子每天最多接觸電子屏幕半小時。

 

32. at no time決不

用法：at no time語氣比較強烈，一般置於句首，句子要倒裝。類似的詞組還有in no case。

 

例句：At no time will be betray his wife, which is worth learning by every husband.

這句譯會-村民們用樹籬圈起來。

形容詞短語：at one time曾經，一度，同時

例句：The grasslands were enclosed with hedges by the villagers at one time.
