Believe it or not, social media has its own vocabulary and it keeps developing like a regular language.
信不信由你,社交媒體有它自己的詞彙,它像一種常規語言一樣不斷發展。
If you look at blog posts, online forums, or the comment section underneath a YouTube video, you might find that they are full of abbreviations and words that just look weird. And it might significantly differ from the standard English you are used to.
如果你看博客文章,在線論壇,或者YouTube視頻下面的評論區,你可能會發現它們都是縮寫和看起來很奇怪的單詞。而且它可能與你習慣的標準英語有很大的不同。
Communication on the Internet is usually very personal, casual, and informal, there are many slang words. Some are abbreviations that were created to save time and space, such as BRB (be right back) and LMK (let me know). Some others are words that don't make a lot of sense outside of the Internet.

DOPE – means cool or awesome 表示很酷或者很棒
Lit – amazing 驚人的
YEET- expresses excitement and approval, from the word YES

Extra- This is another way of saying that someone or something is over the top.
Extra-表達某人或某事太誇張的另一種方式。
Example: : Her Birthday party was so extra!
例句:她的生日派對太特別了!
Snatched - You don't have to worry if you hear your teen saying that someone or something is snatched. It's actually a compliment.
Snatched -如果你聽到你的孩子說某人被搶了,你不必擔心。這是實際是一種讚美。
Example: I love those sneakers! They are so snatched.」
例句:我喜歡這雙運動鞋!他們很搶手。」
Slay- Slay is a way to say someone looks amazing or did an excellent job at something.
Slay—Slay是用來形容某人看起來很了不起或者做某事非常出色的一種方式。
Example: Hey, you slayed that presentation this morning!
例句:嘿,你今天早上的報告完成得很出色!
Shook- is a way to describe that you are emotionally shaken or affected by something.
Shook-用來描述你在情緒上受到某事的震驚或影響。
Example: I was shook when I heard the news, he got fired?
例句:當我聽到那個消息的時候,我感到震驚,他被炒了麼?
