[每日閱讀]a widow's mite可貴的奉獻

　　如果把施樂行為都放在愛裡，做到至善，那麼，即使受助者不能從中獲取實質的益處，他們

　　也會把這種施樂行為視為「真金」—— 這也許是對聖經典故「a widow's mite」最好的解說了。

　　A widow's mite語出《新約·馬可福音》。

Widow自不用多說，指的是寡婦；mite是一種很小的貨幣單位，後被引申為「力所能及的微小貢獻」。在《馬可福音》12章裡，有這麼一段描述：

　　耶穌看眾人給銀庫捐款。很多財主都往裡面投了不少的錢，有一個窮寡婦也來捐款，卻只投了兩個小錢（two mites）。耶穌遂叫來門徒，說：「這窮寡婦投入庫裡的，比其他人投的都多——因為別人只把手頭的盈餘捐了出來；但這寡婦卻捐獻了自己所有的財富。」

　　由此典故，a widow's mite現常用來形容「小而可貴的奉獻」或者說另一層意義的「大愛」，當然，更多時候也用來指「基督徒對上帝的無私奉獻」。
