三年級下冊Unit 5 Do you like pears?的故事部分中圖5有一個詞組doggy bag.
微友：凌老師，doggy bag用英語簡單解釋，怎麼說比較好？

凌哥：不是。這張圖片可以算是「幽默圖片」。真實場合使用的袋子，不會讓狗用嘴銜著的。
微友：可是doggy bag的具體意思說不清楚。
凌哥：呈現詞彙的含義，有時候可以使用圖片，有時候可以通過通過詞彙的情境性運用。比如：Oh, so much food! I can't eat/finish it. Give me a doggy bag, please. 也就是在語用中體現詞義。還可以配合做動作：Put the food in a doggy bag.
微友：這個圖片具體應該什麼樣？我把其中一個作業布置成「上網了解doggy bag」?我覺得這個文化知識蠻有意思，但是我不知道怎麼給孩子們說清楚。
凌哥：你都說不清楚，怎麼讓學生查呢？告知就可以了：裝剩飯菜的容器都叫doggy bag.
此圖中，「doggy bag」成了容器的商標，也就成了「外賣袋」或「外賣盒」。
微友：中文意思是查得到的，也能查到來歷。我就是不知道怎麼用三年級的語言去講。找個合適的看得懂的圖都很難。是不是凡是打包的都可以算的？可是這樣好像和原來的意思又不一樣？比如肯德基麥當勞外賣的打包袋可以算嗎。
凌哥：為什麼一定要用圖來展示含義呢？在語用中配合圖片來表現含義。比如一塊深綠色的板，給學生看，我們只能叫它a green board，但是放在教室場景中，教師會說Please look at the blackboard. Please write on the blackboard。其實是語用和圖形在共同起作用。在處理doggy bag這個詞的時候，屏幕上放一張剩飯菜的餐桌。教師隨便找個塑膠袋。然後裝模作樣將餐桌上的剩飯菜倒進塑膠袋，嘴裡面說：Put the fish/egg/... in the doggy bag. 學生自然就知道這個場合下的塑膠袋（bag）叫doggy bag了。
微友：哦。可是，這樣就沒法滲透doggy bag 的來歷呀。
凌哥：教學watermelon的時候，需要跟學生講「水分很多的瓜」嗎？ice cream的時候，需要講ice是「冰」cream是「脂」嗎？kid的時候要講「小子」來自於「崽子（小山羊）」嗎？詞彙的要素有詞音、詞形、詞義、詞用、詞源。其中，「詞源」屬於文化知識。受到學生語言能力限制，不能很好地闡述詞源的時候，就暫時不要在課堂上去處理詞源。可以用你上面布置作業的方式，讓學生自己去課外探究。

Leftovers from a restaurant meal may either be left behind to be discarded by the restaurant or taken away by the diner for later consumption. In order to take the food away, the diner may make a request for it to be packaged. The container（容器） used for such leftovers is commonly called a doggy bag or doggie bag. It is speculated that this derives from the euphemistic pretense that the food will be given to the diner's pet, rather than eaten by a person. However it may also be a corruption of the East Anglian term docky, meaning lunch. The term doggy bag was popularized in the 1970s etiquette columns of many newspapers. Doggy bags are most common in restaurants that offer a take-out food service as well as sit-down meals, and their prevalence as an accepted social custom varies widely by location. In some countries, especially in Europe, some people would frown upon a diner asking for a doggy bag.
