在美國，你總是能聽到老美說一句口頭禪，叫Never mind，今天Lotus就來幫大家例舉一下在什麼樣的場合你會使用到這個地道的表達。
1.It is not important; do not fret; used to reassure or comfort the person to whom it is said. It’s used to urge someone not to feel anxiety or distress.
第一種用法是安慰說話人，讓ta安心，告訴ta這不重要，不要焦慮，放輕鬆，不要有壓力。
通俗地說呢，it's used to tell someone not to worry about something because it is not important，有點像我們說的「沒關係，沒事兒，別放在心上」。
比如說，你不小心把別人的杯子給打碎了，這個時候你需要向對方表達歉意。
I’m sorry, I broke your mug. 真不好意思，我把你的杯子打碎了。
— Never mind, it was old and I was going to throw it away.
沒關係，它本來已經很舊了，我打算扔掉的。
你的朋友沒有通過駕照考試，很upset，你可以安慰ta說：
You failed your driving test? Never mind, the best drivers always fail the first time.
你駕照考試沒過嗎？沒事兒，好司機第一次都不過。
再比如，你弄丟了朋友送給你的錢包，很愧疚，也很難過。
"I'm sorry I lost that wallet you gave me."
對不起，我把你送我的錢包弄丟了。
"Never mind, I can easily buy you another one."
沒關係，我再給你買一個。

Don't worry about something, don't trouble yourself, it doesn't matter，used to suggest that a problem or objection is not important.
「不要擔心，不要自尋煩惱，沒關係，不重要」的意思。用來告訴別人，即便出現問題，或者有反對意見，也不重要，不要太在意。
朋友開車帶你去海邊，可是走錯路了，於是索性就近找了個地方玩兒。
This isn’t the place I wanted to take you to — but never mind, it’s just as good.
我本來不是帶你來這的，但是沒關係，這兒也很好。
嫉妒心害人，有時候因為嫉妒，人們可能會惡語傷人，我們也不用太過於放在心上。
Never mind his remarks—he's just jealous.
不要太在意他的評論，他只是嫉妒罷了。
有時候，對方說句話，我們沒有聽清，說話的人也不屑於再說一次，這個時候ta可能就會說Never mind，意思跟中文裡的「算了，不重要，沒事兒」差不多。
A: "What did you say?"
你說什麼？
B: "Never mind, it wasn't important."
沒什麼，不重要。
或者是你本來想說點什麼，可是突然又想不起來了。 這個時候你可以說：
Never mind. I forget what I was going to say.
沒事兒，我忘了我要說什麼。
既然說什麼東西不重要，我們也可以理解為」不要考慮...」
比如說你要送一個你很喜歡的朋友禮物，你只希望ta會喜歡，價錢什麼的都不重要，可以說：
I want to get this for my friend, never mind the cost!
我就想送這個給我朋友，價錢無所謂！

Not to mention; and certainly not更不要說，更別提
I can't tread water, never mind swim.
我從來不踩水，更別說遊泳了。
He can barely write a coherent email, never mind an entire book!
他連一封通順的郵件都寫不出來，更別提寫一本書了！

Do not be concerned (about someone or something, or about doing something).
不要擔心（人/事），常常在後面加上about
Never mind about me — you go and I』ll join you later.
別擔心我，你先走，我一會就來。
Here’s some money for you. Never mind about paying me back; you can keep it.
這些錢是給你的。別著急還我，你先拿著。

Indicates a withdrawal of a previous statement.撤回之前說的話.
雖然這個功能只能在微信裡使用，但是never mind就相當於我們現實生活中的撤回鍵，可是有句話叫說出去的話，潑出去的水，OK，never mind。我們一起來看例句：
You're a fool. 你真是個笨蛋。
What did you call me? 你說我什麼？
Never mind.沒什麼。
