今天為大家分享分享的繪本是《The Stray Dog》流浪狗。一家人在野餐的時候，樹叢裡突然一隻小狗聞「香」而至。小姐姐和小弟弟很喜歡它，幫它取了Willy這個名字。可是Willy不能跟著他們回家，在野外的它將會遭遇什麼呢？

It was a great day for a picnic.
這是一個適合野餐的日子。
「What's this?」 asked the father.
「那是什麼？」爸爸問。
「It's a scruffy little dog,」said the mother.
「是一隻髒兮兮的小狗」媽媽說。
「He looks hungry,」 said the girl.
「它看起來很餓」女孩說。
「I think he wants to play,」 said the boy.
「我覺得它想要玩」男孩說。
The children played with him and taught him to sit up.
孩子們和他一起玩，還教它怎樣坐好。
They named him Willy. They kept playing until it was time to go.
他們幫它取名叫Willy，一直和它玩到該回家的時間。
「Let's take Willy home,」 said the children.
「我們把Willy帶回家吧」。
「No」 said the father.
「不行」爸爸說。
「He must belong to somebody,」 explained the mother, 「and they would miss him.」
它一定有主人，媽媽解釋說，"他們會想它的。"
On the way home the girl said, 「Maybe Willy doesn’t belong to anybody.」
在回家的路上，女孩說，「也許Willy沒有主人呢」
During the week all the family had Willy on their minds.
整整一個星期，全家人都把Willy放在他們的心上。
Saturday
周六
「Willy!」 they all cried when he appeared.
當它出現的時候，他們大叫，「Willy！」
But Willy didn’t stop. Willy was in a big hurry.
但是Willy沒有停下來。它快速地跑走了有人在追著。
"He has no collar. He has no leash,」 said the dog warden.
「它沒有項圈，也沒有繩子」抓狗的人說，
"This dog is a stray. He doesn't belong to anybody.」
「這是只野狗，他沒有主人。」
The boy took off his belt. 「Here’s his collar," he said.
男孩抽出他的皮帶，「這是它的項圈。」
The girl took off her hair ribbon.
女孩拿下她的髮帶。
「Here’s his leash,」 she said.
「這是它的繩子，」她說。
「His name is Willy, and he belongs to us.」
「她叫Willy，它是我們的狗。」
They took Willy home.
幫Willy洗澡，然後…
And after that…
他們帶Willy回家。
They introduced him to the neighborhood,where he met some very interesting dogs.
把它介紹給鄰居們，在那裡它遇見了許多有趣的狗。
And Willy settled in where he belonged.
Willy有自己的家了。
小手，小腳，小嘴巴，可是我小的很完美！
