「整容」在英語中是用「Plastic surgery」來表示的。
從前一直覺得很奇怪，為什麼整容和「塑料（plastic）」有關呢？
我們來看看維基百科的關於「整容手術」解釋：
The word "plastic" derives from the Greek plastikos (πλαστικ??) meaning to mold or to shape, thus plastic surgery means "molding or shaping surgery" – its use here has no connection with plastics in the sense of synthetic polymer material.
原來「plastic」在這裡並不是我們以為的「塑料」，而是一個來自於希臘語的單詞，表示「to mold or to shape」的意思。這麼解釋一下就能夠理解了吧！
此外，在平時說的時候還有很多靈活變通的方式來說整容，比如我們要說「做鼻子整形」的話，只要說「have a nose job」就可以了。
我們經常說的「整容手術」用英文表達，是「cosmetic surgery 、a facial plastic surgeon、a face-lift、plastic surgery」。例如：
Many young women all agree with cosmetic surgery.
許多年輕女性都贊同整容手術
No one wants to see a facial plastic surgeon.
沒有人願意去做臉部整容手術的。
Calvin has had a face-lift and looks much younger.
卡爾文做了面部整容手術，看起來年輕多了。
