I am an Assistant Professor of Electronic and Computer Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. My research lies in the interdisciplinary areas of artificial intelligence and medical image analysis, aiming at advancing healthcare with machine intelligence. Specifically, I work on making machine learning more reliable, human-compatible, and statistically rigorous, and am especially interested in applications in healthcare.

香港理工大學 PhD/RA/PostDoc in Smart City Lab
Kai Pan is currently an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). His research interests include Stochastic and Discrete Optimization, Robust and Data-Driven Optimization, Dynamic Programming, and their applications in Energy Market, Supply Chain, Shared Mobility, Marketing, and Transportation. His research on these topics has been published in Operations Research, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Production and Operations Management, IISE Transactions, European Journal of Operational Research, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, Transportation Research Part B, etc.
Recruitment: I am always looking for Ph.D. students who are interested in doing research on decision-making under uncertainty with potential applications in smart city operations, energy market, supply chain management, and transportation. 香港浸會大學2022全獎PHD-大氣汙染-天氣-氣候模擬預測香港浸會大學大氣模型方向，目前招收2022年秋季入學（2022.9）博士研究生。專業方向為空氣品質與天氣、氣候相互作用數值模擬，空氣汙染數據統計分析與預測等，歡迎大氣科學、環境科學、計算機科學等專業方向的畢業生或待畢業生申請。有大氣環境數值模擬科研經歷、科研成果突出或學習成績優異的學生優先考慮。

導師簡介：
高蒙博士現為香港浸會大學地理系助理教授，主要運用數值模擬和統計方法研究空氣汙染的形成機理、長期趨勢及其與天氣/氣候的相互作用過程。本科畢業於南京信息工程大學大氣物理系，博士畢業於美國愛荷華大學化學工程系。2016-2019年間於美國哈佛大學開展博士後研究工作。目前在Science Advances等學術期刊發表論文50餘篇，論文總引用近1600次。部分研究成果被 Nature India、Harvard Magazine等媒體報導。曾獲歐洲地球科學聯合會（EGU）2020年度大氣科學學部傑出青年科學家獎和入選美國大氣化學新興高級科學家研討會（ACCESS XIV）。高博士也是世界氣象組織全球空氣品質預測與信息系統（WMO GAFIS）科學指導委員會委員。
