美劇裡的「物理碗」競賽
在生活大爆炸第一季第13集，Sheldon，Leonard，Rajesh，Howard還有Penny五人組組織了一次物理碗（Physics Bowl）大賽的練習賽。● 「有史以來最短的光脈衝是多少？」
答案是130百億億分之一秒。
● 「什麼技術被應用在硬碟存儲加密上？」
答案是「Giant Magnetoresistance（巨磁阻）」
● 「哪顆人造衛星記錄下了愛因斯坦預言的時空結構拖拽現象？」
謝耳朵給出的答案是這樣的：

當然這是美劇中的「物理碗」競賽，真實的「物理碗」競賽的難度顯然並不是如美劇所展示的那樣，小夥伴們距離「物理碗」獎盃的距離也並非特別遙遠。總體說來，PhysicsBowl上的問題取自高中物理，但涉及的內容更多更廣，高中生接受從概念物理學到AP物理B / C甚至現代物理學的所有知識。由於這是一場競賽，因此，任何人或學校都不會涵蓋競賽中的所有主題知識。『物理碗』競賽分成2個級別，Division 1適合高一學生（IB10年級，A-level的G1年級部分優秀學生和G2年級），Division 2適合高二，高三學生（IB11-12年級，A-level年級）。無論參加Division 1還是Division 2的比賽，參賽者都需要在45分鐘之內完成40道選擇題。物理碗競賽時間緊，題量大，因此小夥伴們需要高度熟練掌握知識點。在Division 1競賽中，一些主題將來自AP課程，其他一些問題可以來自AP課程未涵蓋的概念性課程（例如月相）等內容。Division 2題目更具深度和廣度，通常比Division1的問題更棘手更難。Physics Bowl的知識點完全覆蓋了AP Physics1、AP Physics 2、AP Physics C力學、AP Physics C電磁學、SAT2物理等主要內容。與同類的其他國際課程、競賽相比，「物理碗」競賽的難度也比較大。同高考相比，「物理碗」競賽會多考流體力學、剛體力學、光學計算、狹義相對論等內容；與AS挑戰賽相比，「物理碗」競賽覆蓋AS挑戰賽的所有知識點，且難度更高；與SAT2相比，「物理碗」競賽的知識點與SAT2基本相差無幾，但是難度更大，容錯率低。主頁君還截取了部分物理碗歷年真題，大家看看都會做嗎？以下的問題來自於物理碗競賽Division I 真題：
