為什麼要學那些沒有用的東西|Why do we have to learn things that aren't useful?

政府提供學校是為了幫助我們學習基本的生活需要。但是，為什麼我們一定要學習我們不喜歡或將來並不需要的東西，比如科學、數學和歷史?政府希望我們，在獲得了人類在過去600萬年累積的知識後，發展更多的知識。人們對自己的生活感到太舒適了，太多的人在獲得人類已經掌握的大部分知識後就感到滿足了，有些人甚至更糟，一畢業就滿足了，完全不關心他們自己的知識範圍有多小。這就是為什麼人類進化速度已經逐漸放緩，高科技確實越來越好，但我們現在創造的大多數技術只是為了滿足我們的娛樂需求。我們確實有像NASA這樣的機構專注於探索宇宙，可是認真想想NASA和地球上總共人口，百分之多少人與NASA有相似的目標，並且真的有採取行動?我又發現了中國教育的一個大問題，我相信很多在我之前的人也意識到這個問題過。但顯然，這些人之中沒有一個決定採取任何行動。我母親經常告訴我:「作為一個青少年，你的思想和信念在不斷地變化，如果你想去觀察和傾聽別人的想法很好，值得表揚，但你必須確保你不會受到太多的影響。」她還說:「當你明白了學校老師教給你的東西後，你必須深入挖掘，他們教的遠遠不夠，你需要做的也遠遠不夠。」

Why do people get educated? Why do we have to go to school?

The government provides schools in order to help us learn the basic needs of life. But why MUST we learn things we don’t like or don’t really need in the future, such as science, math, and history? 

The government wants us, after obtaining the knowledge humans have developed over the past 6 million years, to develop more knowledge. People are getting too comfortable with their lives, too many are satisfied as soon as they obtain most of the knowledge we have already developed, and some are even worse, some are satisfied as soon as they finish school, not caring about how minimal their knowledge is. 

This is why human evolution has gradually slowed down, sure, high tech is getting better and better, but most of the technology we create nowadays is to satisfy our entertainment needs. We do have organizations like NASA that focuses on exploring the universe, but think of nasa against the total population on the earth. What percentage of living humans have similar focuses to NASA and is actually doing something? 

Again, I have discovered a huge problem on Chinese education, which I believe many other people have done before as well. But apparently, none of those people decided to do anything about it. 

My mother always told me: 「As a teenager, your thoughts and believes are continuously changing, it is great if you want to look and listen to other people’s ideas, but you have to make sure you don’t get effected too much.」 She also said: 「 After you understand what the teachers at your school is teaching you, you have to dig deeper, what they teach is far from enough, and you have to do more than enough.」
