Best Children's Day Gift Ever

  With the approach of 1st Jun. Children's Day, the best gift for children in the remote mountainous areas in Guizhou Province is simply a warm lunch. Every day they trek over 1-2 hours among the mountains to go to their nearest school and if not cold potatoes or rice mixed with corns, they just skip lunch for the whole day.

  By 1st Jun., another 1,080 students in 5 schools in Guizhou will be able to enjoy the free lunch, with the help of readers and enterprises in Zhejiang Province.

  Ever since the launch of the charity free lunch project organized by City Express, a total of 1,303 students in 6 schools are being provided with free lunch in the school.

  On 24th May, Mr. Wang Jianfeng, principal of Gele Primary, together with two students Li Dan and Zhang Qiong, was invited by Hangzhou Hongyar Electrical Co. Ltd. to visit Hangzhou and participate in the company's celebration of 30th birthday.

  Earlier on 12th May, Hongyar Electrical has donated 101,124 yuan to Gele Primary so as to help 353 students to have free lunch. Zhang Qiong, 13, is a Grade-4 student of Yi ethic group in Gele Primary. Li Dan, 14, is a Grade-5 student of Miao ethic group. For both of them, it was the first time to travel a long way as well as catching a flight. They were excited about everything and not scared at all.

  On the afternoon of 24th May, Hongyar Electrical donated another 164,410 yuan.

  Up to 5pm on the afternoon of 25th May, we've collected over 6 million yuan for the free lunch project, which will help another 1,080 students in 5 schools to have free lunch by 1st Jun., the Children's Day.
