2015年研究生考試已經落下帷幕，廣大考生心中的大石已經落下，結果肯定是幾家歡喜幾家憂。總體而言，今年的考研英語穩中有變，完型和閱讀的難度有所上升大，但是翻譯反而比較簡單。
一、來源：今年的文章來源於An outline of American history(1954)(《美國歷史綱要(1954年英文版)》)，是其中一章The Colonial Period(殖民時期)的節選。這個符合曆年來翻譯的考查規律，往往都是從書籍中節選段落進行翻譯，內容相對於閱讀而言，相對於2014年「貝多芬」而言，有些難懂。
二、難度：5句話共151詞，相當平穩。其中48題最長，35詞;50題最簡單，24詞。可以說，不同基礎的同學都可以從中找到自己熟悉的部分，不至於在這個題上一分未得。
三、句型特點：今年的5句話中，有2句(46，48)是簡單句，另外3句(47，49，50)是複合句。其中的複合句無一例外都考查的是定語從句的翻譯，並沒有涉及到其他從句類型。簡單句中考查最多的也是後置定語的翻譯。所以，中公考研考前為大家預測的難點中，定語的翻譯是絕對考點和重點。
四、逐題詳解：
46) This movement, driven by powerful and diverse motivations, built a nation out of a wilderness and, by its nature, shaped the character and destiny of an uncharted continent.
重點詞組：out of a wilderness(擺脫荒涼)， by its nature(就其本質而言，從本質來說)，uncharted(未知的;圖上未標明的)。
結構分析：整個句子是一個簡單句，由and並列謂語動詞built和shaped。driven by powerful and diverse motivations是後置定語，修飾movement;out of a wilderness是後置定語，修飾nation;of an uncharted continent是後置定語，修飾character and destiny。
