大作文題目:
Extreme sports, such as sky diving and skiing are very dangerous and should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree?【
There are those who opine that sporting activities that are exciting and dangerous ought to be prohibited because they are risky. Personally, I totally disagree with this statement as this practice will hinder people from enjoying the fun which cannot be brought by other traditional events as well as benefiting from an effective stress reliver. The primary justification for why I completely oppose the idea of calling a halt to adventure sports is the likelihood of the general public being deprived of opportunities to experience distinctive fun. Compared with common sports that people do for pleasure, extreme ones always embrace heights and speeds and provide an intense workout, which are characteristics that traditional activities fail to possess. Thus, when taking part in extreme sports, people are required to exert themselves fully, thereby feeling a greater amount of excitement. Another point supporting my stance is that people will lose an effective method to reduce their pressure, especially when other approaches do not work. A large number of people today are stressful and playing basketball or going biking are normally treated as sports helping them unwind. In fact, those are not helpful to victims suffering from pressure going beyond the level of their feasibility while extreme sports can perform better as being in a dangerous situation triggers a release of dopamine in people’s brain, keeping depression at bay in a possible manner. In conclusion, I strongly disapprove of the viewpoint that it is of great necessity to ban extreme sports merely due to their potential danger. This is because people will miss out on a great recreational activity and a very good approach to stress management without these sports. However, safety is crucial, so I recommend that participants should be fully trained before participating in these activities and sufficient precautionary measures should be made available.(303 words)
