赴美生子過美國海關很多寶媽都會擔心，特別是英語水平不好的。今天分享一位寶媽整理的赴美生子過美國海關10大中英文問答攻略給大家。
關於英語問答大家其實不用太緊張，美國海關大部分還是比較友好的，一般都在聊天寒暄中 詢問他們需要知道的信息。美國口語以簡單句為主，口語中幾乎沒有長句和大詞，因此回答的時候也要簡單明了， 接地氣兒點。只要是有一定英語基礎、對常見問題事先熟悉過的孕媽都可以應答過來。英語好一些的孕媽，可以 表達得更地道、充分一些，也算是錦上添花啦。如果真的遇到了不友好的海關，也要面帶微笑不卑不亢回答問題， 並用充分的支持材料證明你是誠實合法赴美生子的。
有一點需要特別提醒大家：中國人說話喜歡留有餘地，愛用 「可能、大概、差不多「等詞語，老美可是不太吃這一套，所以回答問題時一定要用確定的詞，越準確越好。比 如問在美國停留多久，要回答 two weeks, three months, from September 5th to December 10th, 避免說 about half a month;再比如問住哪兒，就簡單粗暴地說 xxx hotel, the address is xxx, 避免說 maybe I will stay…./ I’m considering….總之不要給海關一種你還沒準備好或閃爍其詞的感覺。好了，下面具體看看都有哪些問題。

1、來美國幹嘛？你是否有懷孕？你是不是來生孩子的？
What is your purpose of visiting the US? （這是最正規常見的問法，也可能遇到比較輕鬆聊天式的問 法：Why are you coming to America?）Are you pregnant? Are you gonna give birth to your baby in the US? （海關也許會繼續關注一下你懷孕多久了 How far are you？預產期是什麼時候 When is it due?／What is your expected date of delivery?）
答：我準備來生孩子，順便旅遊購物。我懷孕快 8 個月了，預產期是 11 月 18 日 .
I’m gonna deliver/give birth to my baby here, and do some visiting and shopping as well. I’m 8-month pregnant and my baby is due on November 18th.
2、為什麼來美國生孩子？/ 為什麼不在你們自己國家生？
Why delivering your baby in the US? Why you made this decision? Why not giving birth in your own country?
答 A：我們聽說來美國生孩子並不違法，只要帶夠錢自己支付所有費用，不佔用美國政府福利。
We are told that it is completely legal to do so, as long as we pay off all medical bills on our own. We don’t use any kind of welfare of your government.
答 B：這是我的第二個孩子，我是高齡產婦，我需要更安全的醫療技術來確保我和孩子的安全。我相信你 們醫生的技術和醫院的服務。
This is my second child and I’m over 35 years old now. I’m pursuing for better medical care in the US. I trust the skills of your physicians and the services of the hospital.
答 C：我們非常看重美國的教育，希望我的孩子以後能接受世界先進的教育。
We think highly of American’s education and we definitely hope my kids to have the best education of the world in future.
3、籤證的時候有沒有告知生孩子這個打算？
Have you told the visa officer at the interview that you were going to have a baby here? /Did you honestly say your purpose of giving birth in the US when you applying for the visa?
答 A：我們有誠實告知，在面試的時候就跟籤證官誠實說了來生孩子，並且得到了籤證官的允許。
Yes, we have/ Yes, we did. We already told the visa officer honestly that we plan to deliver my baby in the US, and we were admitted by the officer at the interview.
答 B: 我籤證的時候並沒有懷孕，我是去年 6 月拿到籤證的，之後去美國旅行過 1 次。今年 5 月發現自己 懷孕了，懷孕之後才決定赴美生子。
I was not pregnant when I got my visa in June last year. After getting the visa, I have been to the US once for traveling. Later on in May this year, I found myself pregnant and then decided to give birth in the US.
4、在美國呆多久？什麼時候回去？
How long will you stay in the US? When do you plan to come back?
答：我呆三個月，12 月 1 日返回中國。這是我的行程單和機票，你要看看嗎？
I will stay here for three months. My return trip to China is on December 1st. Here is my itinerary and tickets back. Would you like to take a look at it?
5、你帶了多少錢？
How much money are you bringing with you?
答：我帶了 5 萬美金，足夠支付我在美期間的花銷,包括生產費用。
I have 50,000 (fifty thousand dollars) in cash. That’s enough to cover all the expenses during my stay in the US, including the bills for delivery. （除了現金，如果帶了信用卡，借記卡，旅行支票等可以說:In addition to cash, I also bring 3 credit cards with the credit line of XXX, and 1 debit card with the balance of XXX. And some traveler’s check of XXX.）
6、你帶的錢夠生孩子嗎？你了解美國的生產費用嗎？
Do you have enough money to cover your delivery costs? Are you aware how much it’s gonna cost to deliver in the US hospital?
答：我認為足夠了，我帶了 XXX 現金，銀行帳戶裡還有 XXX 餘額。我的總預算是 XXX，這是我的預算表， 上面有具體的每項開支。表中可以看到生產費用，順產 3500,剖腹產 6000，醫生費用 2500,還有 500 無 痛麻醉如果需要的話。
Yes, I think I』ve prepared enough. I have XXX cash and XXX balance in my bank account. My total budget is XXX. Here is my budget chart with details/ break down items. In the chart you can see, it costs $3500 for normal delivery or $6000 for C-section. The physician charges for $2500 and another $500 for epidural if needed.
7、你有醫生預約單嗎？去哪個醫院生產？
Do you have physician’s appointment? Which hospital are you going to?
答：醫生預約好了，是 XXX 醫生，這是他診所開的預約單。我們準備去 XXX 醫院生產。
Yes, I do. I made an appointment with Dr. XXX, and here is the appointment letter from his clinic. We are going to choose XXX hospital.
8、你們住哪裡？在美國的地址？
Where do you stay? What’s your address in the US?
答：我們準備先在夏威夷住 8 晚，享受下陽光和沙灘，之後飛去洛杉磯。
We will first stay in Hawaii for 8 nights, relaxing on the beach and hanging around a little bit in town. And then we fly to Los Angeles.
9、洛杉磯住在哪裡？
Where do you stay in LA? What’s your address in LA?
答：我們第一周會住在酒店，地址是 XXX，之後會去租公寓住，希望在醫院附近儘快找到合適的房子。 We booked a hotel for the first week (The address is XXX). Then we will rent an apartment/ a place(如果不是公寓的話，place 可以指任何住的地方) for the rest of my stay, hopefully we can find a suitable one near my hospital as soon as possible.
10. 孕爸在孕媽生產前再次入境美國時回答：
答 A：我這次來照顧我老婆，她馬上要生產了。我要當爸爸了，等不及要給我的寶寶剪臍帶啦：）
I come to take care of my wife this time. She is going to give birth very soon. I will be a dadand I can’t wait cutting the cord for my baby:)))
答 B：我老看我的老婆和寶寶。我們的寶寶昨天出生了，比預產期早了一周。不好意思我一路趕來，他們 都在醫院等著我呢。
I come to see my wife and baby. Our baby was just born yesterday, a week earlier than expected. Sorry I’m really in a rush all the way through! They are waiting for me in the hospital.
