1. be made of ... 由.......製成（能看出原材料，這裡指只是物理變化）
Eg：The desk is made of wood. 桌子是由木頭製成的。
2. be made from ... 由.......製成（看不出原材料，這裡指經過化學變化看不出原材料）
Eg：The red paper is made from wood. 紙是由木頭製成的。
3. be made in ... 在.......製造
Eg：This cellphone is made in America. 這部手機是由美國製造的。
4. be made by... 由（誰）製造
Eg：This cake was made by my mother. 這個蛋糕是由我媽媽做的。
5. be made up of ... 由（誰）組成（強調組成部分）
Eg：The medical team is made up of three doctors and five nurses. 這個醫療團隊是由3個醫生和5個護士組成。
6. be made into... 被製成......
Eg：Metal can be made into all kinds of things. 金屬可以製成各種各樣的物品。
我們來看兩道這方面的易錯題：
1. The wine is made ＿＿ grapes.
A. of B. from C. into D.by
解析：B 酒是由葡萄製成的。因為經過了化學變化，看不成原材料，所以要用be made from這個短語。
2. The sweater is made ＿＿ cotton.
A. of B. from C. into D.by
解析：A 這道題是易錯題，很多同學認為毛衣已經看不出原材料了，所以用了be made from這個短語，但是製成毛衣這個過程並沒有經過化學變化，所以要用be made of這個短語。在初中中考試題中用到be made from這個短語是非常有限的。最常見的用法有三類，一類是The paper is made from wood. （紙是由木頭製成的。）第二類是The ink is made from carbon.（墨水是由碳製成的。） 第三類是The red wine is made from grapes. （紅酒是由葡萄製成的）
