中共中央政治局常務委員會12月3日召開會議，聽取脫貧攻堅總結評估匯報。中共中央總書記習近平主持會議並發表重要講話。習近平指出，經過8年持續奮鬥，我們如期完成了新時代脫貧攻堅目標任務，現行標準下農村貧困人口全部脫貧，貧困縣全部摘帽，消除了絕對貧困和區域性整體貧困，近1億貧困人口實現脫貧，取得了令全世界刮目相看的重大勝利。Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said on Dec 3 that China has accomplished its poverty alleviation target of the new era as scheduled and achieved a significant victory that impresses the world. 基礎研究 basic research
科技部表示，我國通過政府引導、央地聯動等方式大幅提升基礎研究投入。基礎研究投入從2015年的716億元增長到2019年的1335.6億元，年均增幅達到16.9%，大大高於全社會研發投入的增幅。Through government support and coordination of enterprises and social entities, China has substantially increased funding for basic research.
