Handmade sweet dumplings herald Lantern Festival

Sweet dumplings have risen to the top sales spot in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Feb 13, as Lantern Festival approaches. Lantern Festival, also known as Yuanxiao Festival, is one of China’s traditional festivals, falling on the 15th day of the first lunar month. It is the first full moon of a new year, which symbolizes unity and perfection. The festival marks the official end of the Spring Festival holiday period.
