英語中，people 和 person 都有「人」的意思，但它們的用法有一定的區別，今天我們一起來學習一下。
1. people: 表示「人，人們」時，一種集合概念，複數名詞。加上定冠詞the 時，意為「人民」；表示「民族、種族」時，有複數形式。
例句1：I think it my duty to serve the people.
我認為為人民服務是我的責任。
例句2：How many people are there in the meeting room?
會議室裡有多少人？
例句3：He doesn't care what people think of him.
他不在乎人們怎樣看他。
注意，當表達「所有的人」時，不用 all people 表示，而是用 everyone 或 everybody 表達。
2. person：意為「人，個人」，指個體的人，常用於數量不太大且較為精確的場合。
例句4：Who is that person over there?
那邊那個人是誰？
例句5：He's a reasonable sort of person.
他是那種通情達理的人。
例句6：This box is very awkward for one person to carry.
這隻箱子一個人很不好搬。
