We held online free talk session on every Monday night during the COVID-19 outbreak. Looking back at the very first online talk in the midst of the crisis, friends from different places in the country got together online for 2 hours. We discussed the epidemic in our regions with familiar friends by speaking in not so fluent English. We had no lost in passion for practicing English with strong perseverance, seeming like back on every Monday night meet-up at 7:30PM, braving heat waves, cold snaps, strong winds or heavy rains. And, it's so precious that the online talk during hard time was letting us to set our work aside and forget our social status, we greeted each other with warmth hearts and thoughtful concern.
疫情期間，我們每周一進行了線上Free talk。還記得第一次雲聚會，大家在國內的不同地方連線2個多小時，特殊時期，我們用這種方式重聚，熟悉的夥伴，講著有些生疏的口語，訴說著彼此地方的疫情。此刻，我們仿佛回到了那個每周一晚7：30的英語角，不管嚴寒酷暑，無論颳風下雨，都堅持英語學習的赤子之心。然而，疫情間的雲對話，讓我們有機會放下手中的工作，忘卻在社會上的各種身份，在災難面前相互取暖與寒暄變得尤為珍貴。
Next Monday EEC offline meet-up officially resumes in Mbook Cafe. Let's practice English speaking and meet new friends.

Emerald English Club is a non-profit organization devoted to sharing interesting ideas and facilitating cross-cultural understanding. It started out in 2011 as a weekly gathering that brings people from different cultures together in Hangzhou. Our mission is to spread ideas and to narrow culture gap among people. We are building a community of curious souls to engage with each other in a friendly and trustworthy environment.
自2011年成立以來，翠越英語俱樂部迄今已連續舉辦兩百餘次主題聚會活動。每周的聚會通常由主題演講(Keynote speech)和自由討論(Free talk)組成。演講者包括Fulbright學者，美國路德派教會學校高中校長，在中國任教長達30年的美籍學者，歐洲藝術學校教師等等等等。幾年以來，翠越參與者上千，包含了來自各大洲的專業人士和學者。俱樂部旨在搭建友善開放信任的平臺，促進跨文化交流，分享有趣有價值的觀點。
