上兩周才剛發表完特殊演講的女王奶奶，在復活節到來之際又向全國人民發去了特別的問候，鼓勵人們「新冠病毒不會擊敗我們」、「光明終將驅散黑暗」。

這是女王奶奶一個月內第三次給全英人民傳遞信息。
此前，女王於3月19日給全英人民留言，鼓勵人們「團結一致，攜手努力」，「每一個個體發揮其至關重要的作用」；
並於4月5日發表在位期間第五次電視講話讚揚關鍵崗位工作人員，感謝民眾遵循政府規定待在家中，表示「美好的日子終將會回來的，我們將會與家人朋友重逢」。
而在2020年的復活節，新冠疫情依舊肆虐，全英所有教堂的復活節慶祝活動取消，女王的復活節問候在這一「至暗時刻」再一次給全國人民帶來溫暖、力量和希望。

Many religions have festivals which celebrate light overcoming darkness. Such occasions are often accompanied by the lighting of candles. They seem to speak to every culture, and appeal to people of all faiths, and of none. They are lit on birthday cakes and to mark family anniversaries, when we gather happily around a source of light. It unites us.
許多宗教都有慶祝光明驅散黑暗的節日。這種節日場合通常會點燃蠟燭。這種儀式似乎出現在各種文化裡，吸引著所有有宗教信仰和沒有宗教信仰的人。蠟燭也在生日蛋糕上和家庭的各種紀念日被點燃，我們快樂地圍繞在光源周圍。它將我們團結在一起。
As darkness falls on the Saturday before Easter Day, many Christians would normally light candles together. In church, one light would pass to another, spreading slowly and then more rapidly as more candles are lit. It’s a way of showing how the good news of Christ’s resurrection has been passed on from the first Easter by every generation until now.
主復活日前夕（星期六），當夜幕降臨，許多基督徒通常會聚在一起，點燃蠟燭。在教堂裡，蠟燭火種開始傳遞，一點點燭光亮起，開始是緩慢地一處又一處亮起來，然後隨著更多蠟燭被點燃，光亮以更快地速度蔓延開來。這象徵著基督復活的好消息從第一個復活節一代代傳遞至今。
This year, Easter will be different for many of us but by keeping apart we keep others safe. But Easter isn’t cancelled; indeed, we need Easter as much as ever. The discovery of the risen Christ on the first Easter Day gave his followers new hope and fresh purpose, and we can all take heart from this.
今年的復活節對於我們許多人來說不同於以往，我們通過分離（而不是相聚），讓其他人更安全。復活節如期來臨；實際上，我們像以往一樣需要復活節。在第一個主復活日，發現基督的復活讓門徒們充滿希望和新的目標，我們都可以從中得到啟示。
We know that coronavirus will not overcome us. As dark as death can be – particularly for those suffering with grief – light and life are greater. May the living flame of the Easter hope be a steady guide as we face the future.
我們知道，冠狀病毒不會擊敗我們。（現實）可以像死亡一般黑暗，尤其是對於那些遭受悲痛之苦的人來說，但光明和和生命更偉大。在我們面對未來時，願復活節希望的火種永遠指引我們的方向。
