Firstly, there are two types of reading test: General Training and Academic.
雅思閱讀考試分為General Training and Academic兩類：
IELTS Academic is for students wishing to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level, and for those seeking professional registration. Most of you will be looking to take this test.
IELTS General Training is for test takers wishing to migrate to an English-speaking country, and for those wishing to train or study at below degree level (e.g. high school).
The General Reading test has 3 sections with a number of texts. The Academic has just 3 reading texts.
For both there is a total of 40 questions.Your final score is given as a band score from 1-9 in whole or half bands, e.g.6.5
相信你們都知道啦，雅思閱讀考試題目分為兩類：General Training and Academic。Academic是要到英國讀大學或者研究生的童鞋需要參加的考試，而General Training是為需要移民或者更低年齡的求學需要，例如說高中，的童鞋而設的。而大部分的親們都是應該參加Academic類型的啦！
General類型的考題由共包括許多小短文的3部分題目組成，而Academic類型的題目則由3篇篇幅較長，難度也相對增加的文章組成啦！
For the General Reading test:

Section 1 is composed of two-three short texts or several even shorter ones on everyday topics. They might be advertisements, notices, timetables, etc.

Section 2 is made up of two texts focusingon work-related topics, such as job descriptions, training manuals, etc.

Section 3 is one longer, more complex piece of text of general interest. It can be instructive or descriptive, and taken from newspapers, magazines or online sources.

For the Academic test:
了解Academic類型的考題看這裡啦：
There are three sections, each containing one long text. All texts are real and come from books, journals, newspapers and online resources of general interest to students at undergraduate or postgraduate level. They are written for non-specialist readers and any technical terms will be glossed in a note. The texts may be narrative,descriptive, argumentative, and at least one text will contain a detailed logical argument. They are chosen to be appropriate for people entering university at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Academic類型的考題同樣是分為三大部分啦，每部分其實就是一篇長的閱讀文章。這些文章都是真實來自書本、雜誌、報刊或者網站等等資源，既有敘事性文章，也有議論性文章，都是為了測試考生能不能達到能去本科學習和研究生學習的水平啦！

As you will see, there are different kinds of questions they can ask on the reading papers – different ways they test your understanding. We will examine the various types of questions later and give you tips on how to beat each one.
在雅思閱讀的測試題中，為了從多種方式測試你的理解能力，所以你被問到各種類型的問題啦！在今後的分享中，我們將會就每種題型與大家探討解決辦法哦！
For now, become familiar with the different sections and kinds of reading material. Identify which you find easier and which more difficult. Use the sample material to assess your level of reading.For example: is there a lot of new vocabulary or difficult sentence constructions? How much did you understand on a first quick reading; how much did you need to go back to make sense?
從現在起，大家首先要做的是多讀多練，熟悉各種不同類型的閱讀材料，並有意識地判斷，哪種你讀起來是比較容易理解的，哪種類型的文章你是覺得比較困難。這樣通過各種材料來確定你自己的閱讀水平，有助於你以後更有針對性地提高哦！例如說，在我閱讀的過程中，是在詞彙還是在句子結構上感到困難？第一次快速閱讀的時候，我理解到多少？有多少是我需要重新閱讀再去理解的呢？
How did you score?
在雅思閱讀中是怎麼評分的？
Marking for the reading test can vary from test to test, depending on the difficulty of the texts. But, on average, to gain a Band 6 on the General Reading you will need to score 30/40, while on the Academic Reading to gain a Band 6 you will need to score 23/40 (as the Academic passages are harder). FOR BAND 7 Academic you need 30/40.
就每次試題難度的不同，具體評分也會有所差異。就我們大多數童鞋要參加的Academic類型來說，要拿到6分的話，你知道要答對23/40的題目，要拿到7分的話，你至少要答對30/40的題目。
