要的。a和an實際上就是一個詞的兩種不同形式，之所以把a改為an是因為發音問題，那是自然而然產生的改變。連續兩個元音連在一起會很難發音清晰（感覺很彆扭）。輔音是什麼？顧名思義，輔音就是輔助元音來發音。因此要在兩個元音中間加一個輔音，以使這兩個元音能清晰發音。

a/an的實際使用不會因為前面有many這個詞而改變它們的「初心」。即a怎麼變，many a中的a就怎麼變。

這是一道託福的改錯題，答案改have been為has been，而many an不用改。
