「Rather than」,這個詞90%的人都念錯了,你能讀對嗎?

你應該知道rather than是一個常用詞組吧？在英語裡，它的意思是「而不是……」。

「 It's when you want to express that it's better to do one thing than another.」

比如：

「 I would rather eat Chinese food than Japanese food.」 

它的意思很簡單，但即便是「英語達人」，也很可能說錯它。注意，我指的是念錯發音。因為這兩個單詞裡，各有一個這樣的音：

不是空口說白話，這個音足以「殺死」90%的中國乃至全世界的英語學習者。為什麼？想想有多少人把 this 念成「戴斯」，把 father 念成「法則」，把 though 念成「逗」，你就頓悟了。
