Now,this expression is not all bad.

現在，這種表達並不全都是關於不好的事。

 

In fact, we often use it in the negative form.

實際上，我們經常會用它的否定形式。

 

When you want to say that things are not so bad, you can say "it's not the end of the world."

當你想說事情沒那麼糟的時候，可以說「這不是世界末日」。

 

In other words, whatever the situation is,it could be much worse. 

換句話說，無論情況如何，都是不幸中之萬幸。

 

Here is an example:

例如：

 

Our football team was hoping to finish in first place. But it won't be the end of the world if we don't.

我們的橄欖球隊希望能得第一名。但得不到的話也沒啥大不了的。

 

If I say that something bad is "not the end of the world,"

如果我說某件不好的事「不是世界末日」，

 

I am trying to make myself or someone else feel better about it.
