副詞短語在句中的功能相當於副詞，通常在句中作定語、表語或者狀語。


用法：according to是常用的固定搭配，to後面接表示事實或情況的名詞或代詞。例句：According to one survey, there is a close relationship between hedonic well-being measures and high scores on happiness. (2014年12月六級)根據一項調查，享樂主義的幸福衡量指標和快樂的高指數之間有著密切聯繫。According to one survey是狀語,there is是there be， a close relationship between hedonic well-being measures and high scores on happiness是名詞，其中between hedonic well-being measures and high scores on happiness是後置定語。122. across the world世界各地，全世界用法：across the world表示「世界各地，全世界」，是常用的副詞詞組，在句中作狀語。例句：Ten years ago, politicians began to look for the root of climate change across the world.十年前，政客們就開始在世界範圍內尋找氣候變化的根源。用法：after a while表示一段時間之後，一般用於一般過去時態。例句：After a while, the students came out from the classroom.用法：after work表示「下班後」，而at work表示「在上班」。例句：Mark felt that it was time for him to take part in his community, so he went to the neighborhood meeting after work.
