英語語法:短語look for, look into的用法

動詞短語是由動詞和介詞、副詞、名詞等構成的，在句中作謂語。

101.look for尋找

用法：look for強調「尋找」的過程，與find out的區別：find out強調「尋找」的結果。

 

例句：What are important characteristics you look for in friends?

你在朋友身上尋找的重要物質是什麼?

 

語法結構分析：What是主語， are是系動詞， important characteristics是表語， you lookfor in friends是後置定語（in friends是狀語）。

 

102.look into調查研究

用法：look into還表示「瀏覽，快速查閱」，後跟賓語。

 

例句：It fails to look into the social implications of the Internet. (2014年12月四級)

它沒有觀察到網際網路的社會含義。

 

103.look like看起來像

用法：look like側重指外表的樣子，而be like側重指內在的屬性等。

 

例句：Not tobe rude, but you look like a lady who likes to eat. (雅思)

不客氣地說，你看起來像一個受吃的女士。

 

104. major in專攻，專修

用法：major in表示「專攻，專修」，通常後接學科名詞。

 

例句：He would like to major in psychology too. (2014年6月六級)

他也想主修心理學。

用法：make for還表示「走向，向……前進」，後接名詞或者名詞詞組。

例句：So it is saying that economic development should make for a cleaner world? (2016年6月六級)
