1.inside表示「進入到裡面」，into只表示「由外向內」這一動作；
inside有「被圍在內」的含義，比in更強調，著重與「外面」（outside）對比；
inside還可表示「在……的內側」，in則不能。

2.inside通常指小的空間範圍，within多指大的空間範圍。

He livedwithin a castle for two years.
3.在表示時間、距離時，inside和within均可表示「不超過」，在美語中還常用inside of。
John will leave within(/inside/inside of) an hour.
He waswithin about ten miles of his home. (離家只有十10英裡)
