Worth因為是介詞，所以後面一般會加名詞或者動名詞。Worth和錢有直接關係，worthy和worthwhile不一定是錢，一般是說「有價值的，好的，合適的，恰當的」。

例：He is this country’s richest men, worth an estimated $ 40 billion. (√)

大意：他是這個國家最富有的人，身價估計有400億美元。

例：This book is worth reading. (√)

大意：這本書值得一讀。 

要點3：

Worthy是個形容詞，有兩個主要的用法。

第一個用來做定語，放在名詞前，譬如說worthy cause (值得奮鬥的事業，一般指慈善事業)

第二個用來做表語，習慣上後面加一個of

例：This volunteer is worthy of respect. (√)

大意：這個志願者值得尊敬。

Worthwhile也是一個形容詞。

在充當定語的時候，和worthy有一定相似性。

但是在做表語的時候，一般worthwhile會用it is worthwhile to do something這個句子。

例：It is worthwhile to consider the graduate school, rather than looking for a job, in the current economic climate. (√)

大意：在目前的經濟形勢下，讀研究生比找工作更值得。
