2.She is making a big difference in our lives.她正在對我們的生活產生很大的影響。
（1）make a big difference，產生很大的影響。difference為different的名詞形式，表示「區別」。
（2）1life作「生活」解，可作可數名詞或不可數名詞; 作「生命」解，只能作可數名詞。
【例句】 He lives a happy life. 他過著幸福的生活。
The doctor saved the two boys』lives.
醫生救了這兩個男孩的命。
3.Do what makes you happy.做讓你開心的事情。

1.On the first day of school, something
terrible happened.在學校的第一天，可怕的事發生了。
1）在具體的某天或在具體的某天的什麼時候，介詞要用on。
on Monday，在周一；on a cold day，在寒冷的一天
2）something terrible，可怕的事。something是不定代詞，表示物，其定語要後置。類似的不定代詞還有nothing, anything, everything。例如：nothing special，沒有特別的東西。
3）happen，發生，一般指意外發生某事，為不及物動詞，後面不跟賓語。
【解析】 sth. happens to sb.，某人發生了某事。
【例句】 Jim, you look sad. What happened to you?吉姆，你看起來傷心。發生什麼事了？
2. So they came up with a plan.

【解析】come up with，想出，相當於短語think of。

【解析】quite，相當，副詞，後面一般跟形容詞或副詞，相當於very。
注意：quite如果修飾名詞短語，放在a，an之前；very修飾名詞短語，放在a，an之後。
【例句】She is quite a lovely girl.=She is a very lovely girl.

2. My students are wonderful and the other teachers are always helpful.我的學生們很棒，其餘的老師也很樂於助人。
【解析】the other+複數名詞，表示「除去提到的，所有其餘的」。
