如果你開車，那你多半上過高速公路。但你知道高速路的英語怎麼說嗎？
我想有些朋友第一反應都覺得很簡單，會說「High speed way」。
如果你對老外說你在high speed way上開車，他們多半會覺得你魅力四射……不，這不是什麼好事，他們把你誤會成F1賽車手了，因為speedway是指「賽車跑道」。
那麼，怎麼說高速公路才不會被誤會呢？
在美國，有這3種說法：freeway / highway / expressway
除了這3個單詞外，在高速路上你還會「遇到」其他許多單詞，華生為你稍微羅列了下，我們一起來看看吧。
1. Gas Station/Petrol Station（加油站）
were you get gasoline for cars
2. Repair Shop（修車店）
a place were you get your car repaired
3. Service Road（支路、便道）
a local road that runs parallel to a highway
4. Highway/Freeway（高速公路）
a fast road that is used for long distances that doesn't have any traffic lights
5. Tolls（收費站）
money that you pay in order to use road, bridge, tunnel etc.
6. Interstate（洲際公路）
roads that connect the states inside America
7. Rental-Car（租車）
renting a car for a specific amount of time
8. Exit-Ramp（出口匝道）
a ramp on a highway that takes takes you off the highway
9. Entrance Ramp（入口匝道）
a ramp that puts you on the highway
10. Ticket（違章通知單）
a fine that is given for a traffic violation or parking violation
11. Mileage（英裡數）
the distance traveled in miles
12. Round About（環路）
a circle in the road that connects to a few roads that goes into different.
13. M.P.H（英裡時速）
Miles Per Hour
14. K.P.H（公裡時速）
Kilometers Per Hour
15. Expressway（高速幹道）
a fast road that does not allow commercial traffic
16. Dead End（死路）
a street that does not go anywhere, a street that ends without an exit
17. Detour（繞道）
a alternative route
If you are going to drive in another country remember to wear a seatbelt and take it easy on the highway. Keep your eyes open for any tolls and your exit-ramp.
