來看一下2020年秋季班Journeys G2(二年級)小朋友們的探究分享會吧
今天為大家帶來期末探究分享會演說的是
Wenjie Dong/Tom Guo/Freya Kuang/Thomas Yan/Astro Tang/Shawn Xu
(Dora和Kimi小朋友因為考試未參加Final Speech)
首先來認識一下我們大名鼎鼎的老師Mr. Drew吧
有著在英國和法國教學經驗,國內從小齡到大學生,到Executive等各個年齡層次和背景的老師,有著專業而深厚的文學、歷史、哲學素養,對中國歷史和文化也有著非常多的認知和尊重,從歷史的廣度和深度對很多人物和事件的解讀也非常有深度。這樣的一個老師,大家也趕快來認識下吧

Wenjie
Wenjie本學期帶來的演講話題是 "Tornados are Dangerous(危險的龍捲風)" ,話題選自JG2 第八課的主題 "Weather"。演講介紹了龍捲風的概念、類型,以及它的危害,並且在演講中提醒我們面對T龍捲風的時候應該怎麼應對。邏輯清晰,表達清楚明了。
在這個學期的課程裡,文杰的課前課後預習複習做得都非常好,課堂上在討論、閱讀、語法、寫作、演講和課堂紀律遵守方面也都很出色, 寫作的立意、結構、單詞選擇、句子流暢等各方面也是不錯的。課堂風格很穩,善於觀察和學習。
同時,我們也來看下Drew老師對Wenjie演講的點評吧:
Wenjie's Presentation:
Positive - Well planned, researched, and done at home. Even when nervous, took a breath and continued.
Areas to Improve - Ending/conclusion sentence could be developed a bit more. It would be better to replace "Chapter 1" with other pacing words such as first, next etc. Also Wenjie mentions the topic but could introduce things a little more before plunging into things. Speaking could be slowed down a little or enunciated at key moments.
In all it was a well-delivered speech. Wenjie knew his topic and didn't need his notes. While there are some organisational aresa that can be improved, the main information of the speech was presented clearly. We can work on organisation and a more natural delivery in the future.

Tom本學期帶來的演講話題是"Monster Bugs(蟲子怪物)", 話題選自JG2 第一課的主題"Animal Traits (動物特徵)」。演講介紹了The biggest Bugs的特徵, Mother Bug如何孵化Little Bugs,最後強調我們人類也是離不開Bugs的。思路很清晰,沉穩中帶著幽默和風趣。
在這個學期的課程裡,Tom的課前課後預習複習做得都非常好,能夠寫出非常好的答案且很少有錯誤;課堂上在討論、閱讀、語法、寫作、演講和課堂紀律遵守方面也都很出色,也是班裡的小標兵,不僅能自己提出很好的觀點,也能在跟其他小夥伴討論的時候帶動其他孩子一起做更好的討論;寫作各方面變現也都很優秀,能夠看出他良好的寫作習慣和基本功。

Tom's Presentation:
Positive - Lots of information and interesting facts, along with good pictures in the PPT. Good memory for the facts. Some good gestures at times, for example the stink bug. Clear Introduction and ending.
Areas to Improve - Delivery is clear but a little robotic. Needs to flow better, in future more practice and confidence will lead to this.
A very good and clear speech. Perhaps in future Tom could put more of his opinions depending on future topics. Good organisation and facts. A more natural and relaxed delivery is the main area to work on.
Freya
Freya本學期的演講的話題是"My Wonderful Christmas(完美聖誕)"。話題選自JG2 第九課的主題 「Traditional tales (傳統故事)"。小朋友分享了在聖誕節跟朋友們一起的開心時光,和一起做的跟聖誕有關的活動等。以自己的親身經歷展開話題,分享自己的生活和故事,在小朋友們中比較有共鳴感。
Freya這個學期雖然是在期中跟班,整體表現也非常好,她的課後作業和準備認真細緻,課堂表現、參與和融入都很好,在寫作上有能把自己的觀點和對文章的理解很好地融合。
Drew老師對Freya演講的點評是什麼呢:
Freya's Presentation:
Positive - Well written, well practiced, and well delivered. Freya chose an interesting topic that she could talk a lot about while keeping it personal and relevant to her. This made it easier to deliver and more natural.
Areas to Improve - As Freya is a confident speaker with a good memory, we could look at adding further details and opinions to make her future speeches even better. In the future, depending on topic we can look at linking the delivery to the PPT more as well.
An excellent speech. Freya's organisational skills mean that she has an excellent base for future presentations that we can build on.
Thomas
Thomas演講主題是"How to Change Old Cars to New Cars"。在張江這樣的大環境下,小朋友應該也是一位機械迷呀。他把未來的小小夢想都寫在了這次的主題裡面。演講介紹了把舊車改造成新車,比如給車塗新的顏色等。演講內容有點短,相信Thomas應該也是準備了很多的細節還未展開,下次期待聽到他更詳細的speech。
Thomas 小朋友在壹派學習的這幾年,一直都很認真,很投入。在課堂上,他的反饋也是非常快的,老師在聽課的時候也會發現,他基本上是全程90分鐘都在認真聽講,快速反饋的狀態,這樣的認真勁兒可喜又可愛。

Thomas' Presentation:
Positive - Thomas had a good idea and topic. His delivery was also clear given the circumstances.
Areas to improve - Thomas hadn't written his speech in full before the class and it prevented him from developing the topic further. It is important to get all of our ideas written down so that we can remember them and refer to them more easily. I am sure that if Thomas would have been able to build more details onto his base idea if he had a written copy. This also affected delivery. Thomas knew the rough outline of his ideas but was unsure as to how to speach at length. Hence the speech was a bit short.
Astro
Astro演講主題是"Helen Keller",話題選自JG2第14課的主題"Special Ways to Communicate"。小作者介紹了Helen Keller 與普通常人不同之處,以及Helen老師是如何幫助她去聽和說。相信Astro一定是被Helen感動到,並想分享給大家,小夥伴們可以從這樣的故事中學到很多Helen的拼搏、勇敢和堅持不懈。
Astro這個學期的進步和狀態是肉眼可見的。在學習更顯進步以後,孩子上課也更認真有效率了。大家都非常開心看到Astro的進步,堅持就是勝利這個至理名言還是不虛啊。Astro的這次的演講雖然看稿痕跡比較重,但前面對文件的準備還是看得出還是很用心的。
Astro's Presentation
Positive - Good choice of topic and information clearly presented. Structure was good.
Areas to improve - General familiarity with speech. I feel that Astro did not reread his speech much after writing it. He was dependent on his notes and this showed. If Astro can spend more time familiarising himself with his speech next time his delivery will be clearer and more confident.
A good effort. It shows that even a well written and organised speech still needs to be practised so that we are confident in our delivery of it. I look forward to Astro's next speech!
Shawn
Shawn演講主題是"Fingers"。小朋友的演講颱風一貫都是淡定從容。這次演講科普了Fingers的重要性,Fingers是如何幫助我們做事情。學到不少。
Shawn這個學期以一年級的身份加入我們二年級的課程,小小的身體還是承載了很重的內容的,他在課堂裡基本也是注意力最集中的,總是踴躍發言,積極參與各個板塊的內容,對寫作的恐懼感也在逐漸改善,而且在期末的時候明顯看到當他更加投入,放下恐懼,還是能夠寫出非常好的內容的。一定要相信自己,積極面對哦。

Shawn's Presentation:
Positive - Confident and Well-humored delivery. Natural gestures and examples.
Areas to improve - The topic is a little simple and could do with some more development and details to really make it interesting. More time in the planning and writing stage should enable this.
A short but confidently delivered speech about a simple topic. A very good start, and I look forward to seeing Shawn talk about other topics with more details and examples.

美國CCSS英語精讀寫作綜合語言藝術課程,使用的是由美國三大教育出版商之一Houghton Mifflin和 Harcourt聯合打造的對標美國CCSS教育標準、在美國市場佔有率排名第一的美國小學語文第一課程— Journeys課程。
在中國,它也被不少名校(如上海中學國際部、上海中芯國際學校、上海協和國際學校、上海進才中學國際部、上海利文斯頓美國人學校、上海星河灣雙語學校、上海耀華國際雙語學校等)指定使用。在滬上被稱為「超母語教材」。
簡單粗暴地來說,美國CCSS英語精讀寫作綜合語言藝術課程+全外教授課,等於美國孩子在上什麼,壹派的學員就在上什麼!
Journeys全套教程除了包括教科書,作業和標準考試的課內核心外,還包括課外閱讀,寫作等的拓展訓練。壹派英語使用Journeys最新版本為基礎,保證學員同步並達到美國最新教學要求。
