Why students should be encouraged to develop effective communication skills?
【範文】
Frequently-reported news to the effect that few postgraduates committed suicides has led the public to accentuate the psychological heath of college students. Nevertheless, effective communication with others, a major way of relieving stress, is usually ignored by the society.
First and foremost, pouring out unreserved communication of full and confiding hearts is conducive to coping with anxieties. When a student is confronted with difficulties or setbacks in his study, instead of confining himself to the mire of troubles, it would be advisable for him to turn to others and clarify what those problems are. As a consequence, what upsets him might be readily tackled through effective communication and brainstorming. Besides, opening one’s heart is also of great benefit to the promotion of relationships in dormitories. In contemporary society, it is inevitable for individuals, college students in particular, to have connections with others. If one always harbors resentments toward people around him rather than trying to negotiate with them, the chasm of misunderstanding might be further widened.
By and large, in view of the significance of communication in an effective manner, a package of measures ought to be adopted to enhance student’s communication ability.
