主禱文是耶穌教導門徒禱告的示範。
全世界的教堂裡、基督徒聚會中，最後結束的時候，都是眾人齊聲誦禱「主禱文」。
很多時候，不知道該對上帝說什麼，但是心中不安或痛苦時，我都會小聲重複主禱文。
一個人走夜路，我就會大聲背誦主禱文，像是在向未知的勢力進行有力宣告。
前些日子姥爺重病，住進ICU病房，因各項指標太高，警報器一直不斷在響，妹妹進去探望時，心疼害怕，就按手在姥爺的胸口，流淚背誦主禱文。半小時之後，護士說：好奇怪，好幾天都不正常的指標，怎麼突然全都正常了？
主禱文的英文為：The Lord’s prayer，裡面的The Lord,指的就是耶穌。新約《馬太福音》中，耶穌訓導門徒時，叮囑他們禱告時
1. 不可像那假冒為善的人、愛站在會堂裡、和十字路口上禱告、故意叫人看見．要進你的內屋。
2. 不可像外邦人、用許多重複話．因為你們沒有祈求以先、你們所需用的、你們的父早已知道了。
然後耶穌就說：你們禱告時，要這樣說…於是便有了全世界都知道的The Lord’s prayer 主禱文。

我反覆讀這一章節時，便得了一個竅門： 拿主禱文當作禱告模版，像耶穌教我們禱告那樣去禱告：
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
主禱文有兩大部分：
1. Identifying who God is，who are we directing our prayers to 認識上帝，確認在向誰禱告。
Our Father which art in heaven（art ：be的現在式單數第二人稱形式 you are中的are)
2. 7 petitions 七大請求
a. Hallowed be thy name.願你的名為聖。（Hallow: 把…視為神聖thy: Your你的）
b. Thy kingdom come. 願你的國降臨。
c. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.願你的旨意行在地上，如同行在天上。
d. Give us this day our daily bread.我們日用的飲食，今日賜給我們。
d. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.免我們的債，如同我們免了人的債。
e. And lead us not into temptation, 不讓我們遇見誰試探。
f. but deliver us from evil.救我們脫離兇惡。
