【範文】

Man Is to Survive

Human beings have lived in this world for thousands of years. They have fought against nature from time to time and they have survived. Today, they are facing many great problems such as incurable① diseases, environmental pollution, energy crisis② and population explosion③, which are threatening their existence on earth.

Some people consider that we can't survive in the end. They point out that limited energy on earth will be exhausted④ soon, incurable diseases are threatening more people’s lives, pollution is worsening the environment, and population explosion will make food shortage even more serious. According to their opinions, these problems are too complicated for humankind to solve.

However, I think those people are too pessimistic⑤. Human beings are wise enough to come up with⑥ effective solutions to those problems. For instance, some new energy resources, such as solar energy and wind energy, will help people survive the energy crisis. Also, we can take some scientific methods to protect environment and control pollution. Therefore, I am sure that man will survive successfully in future.
