GARDENER Joe Robinson waters part of the stunning floral display he has created outside his house despite being completely BLIND.
Joe, 74, lost his sight 20 years ago but still spends hours each day watering and tending his flowers. And because his wife Heather is allergic to plants he has to do it all himself.
Retired factory worker Joe went blind gradually after developing an eye condition when younger.
He said: 「I ve always been a keen gardener so when I became totally blind it never occurred to me to stop.
「I can t see what I m doing but I work by sense of touch and smell. I don t grow as many roses as I once did because of the thorns.」
He has won several prizes at a local flower show. Wife Heather said: 「I m very proud of him.」
