A Perfect New Year’s Gift
國際環保組織大自然保護協會（TNC）新年收到了一筆1.65億美金捐贈。捐贈者是美國環境系統研究所公司（世界最大的地理信息系統技術提供商Esri）公司創始人Jack and Laura Dangermond夫婦。
The Nature Conservancy received recentily the single largest philanthropic gift in TNC’s history from cofounders of Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc, the global leader in spatial analytics. Jack and Laura Dangermond made a transformative and timely philanthropic gift of $165 million to The Nature Conservancy.
TNC將會運用這筆資金購買位於美國加利福尼亞州一片超過2.4萬英畝的未被開發的土地用於生態保護，這裡未來將被建成一個自然保護區。
This private donation enabled The Nature Conservancy to purchase and permanently protect one of the most iconic pieces of California, the over 24,000-acre Cojo/Jalama Ranch at Point Conception in Santa Barbara County.

This incredibly rare, ecologically important place stretches eight miles along the coast and include centuries-old coastal oak woodlands.
