日常辦公，電腦可以說是我們必須的工具，那麼"開電腦"這個簡單的動作，英文你還在說"open the computer"嗎？如果你是這麼想的，那趕緊需要學習一下了~
說到"開和關"很多同學第一反應都是open和close，但今天小八要告訴你，這是錯的，英文裡對電子設備的"開關"，正確的動詞是"turn on/off或switch on/off"，比如開電腦，開燈，開電視等，是我們常說的啟動，運行。
eg：How do I turn on the computer?
這電腦怎麼開機？
She heard him turn on the shower.
她聽見他打開了淋浴噴頭。
Remember to turn off the lights when you go out.
走的時候別忘了關燈。
open和close主要指，將原來關上或合上的東西打開，比如開門，窗等，也指精神層面，比如open one's eyes敞開，大開眼界。所以當你說open the computer，同事會認為，你要把電腦主機拆開，可就鬧笑話了。
eg：He opened the window and looked out.
他打開窗戶往外看。
She opened her arms and gave me a big hug.
她張開雙臂，緊緊地擁抱了我。
當然不能，這樣說，可就又掉進中式英文的坑了，我們中文說"開支票"，但其實動作是拿出指支票本，"寫支票"，所以正確的動詞是 write，write a check.
eg：I'll write you a check for the car.
車的錢我開張支票給你。
上面講了電子設備的開關要用turn或switch，但開冰箱你說turn on the fridge，可就錯了，因為一般說開冰箱，是打開冰箱門的動作，不是去開冰箱的電源，所以用open the fridge才對。
eg：It's hot summer outside, she opened the fridge door to get a cool snack.
外面太熱啦！她打開冰箱尋找一些冰涼的點心。
"電腦壞了" ≠ the computer break！
"壞"確實是break，但break是指破碎，打碎，如果你說電腦break了，別人會理解成，你把電腦摔地上了。

eg：My laptop fell on the floor and now the screen is broken.
我不小心把筆記本電腦摔到地上，屏幕碎了
不工作了，當機
eg：My computer doesn't work again！
我的計算機又不工作了！
屏幕畫面卡住
eg：Could you give me a hand, my screen keeps freezing.
能幫我看一下嗎，我電腦屏幕畫面卡住了。
connect with Wi-Fi. ✘
connect to Wi-Fi. ✔
這裡是介詞的使用錯誤，連上線，英文要用connect to，不是with。
eg：My computer has problems connecting to Wi-Fi.
我電腦連wifi有問題。
The Wi-Fi signal is weak.
我電腦wifi信號弱。
