英語語法: 短語as far as, as it happens的用法

用法：as far as常形成固定搭配，如as far as I can know, as far as I can see等，表示「據我所知」。

 

例句1：As far as I know, the enemy’s secret stronghold is in a mass of explosives.

據我所知，敵人的秘密據點有著大量炸藥。

 

結構分析：As far as I know, the enemy’s secret stronghold是主語（the enemy’s secret是三個前置定語），isin a mass of explosives是系表型謂語（is系動詞+in a mass of explosives表語）。

 

2. as it happens碰巧，偶然發生

用法：as it happens在句中通常作插入語。

 

例句1：This year, as it happens, scientists in Japan proved that plants really do respond to sound.

碰巧，今年日本的科學家證明植物的確對聲音有回應。

 

結構分析：This year是時間狀語, as引導定語從句，it是主語，happens是謂語,scientists in Japan是主語（in Japan是後置定語），proved是謂語，that引導賓語從句，plants是主語，reallydo是謂語（really是狀語），respond to sound是賓語。
