Topic162:如何看待名人收入高的問題
Topic162 Some famous athletes and entertainers earn millionsofdollars every year. Do you think these people deserve suchhighsalaries? Use specific reasons and examples to supportyouropinion.[參考提綱]162他們值這麼多錢(1)他們在沒有成名的時候,工作非常辛苦,這些錢是為他們以前的補償(2)他們為國家和民族爭得了榮譽,所以他們應當獲得這麼多錢(3)他們的表演受到人們的歡迎,人們願意花很多錢看他們的演出,所以這是非常正常的[託福參看範文]Topic:162Nowadays,there is a strange phenomena that some famous athletesandentertainers earn millions of dollars every year. For me, itotallyoppose to give them so much money as salary per year, whichit willbe unequal to other occupations.Firstly, there are somanyoccupations around the world, such as artist, teacher, accountant, worker. viewed as one of occupations , entertainer orathletes arenot much different from the rest of occupations. Bothof them arejust two kinds of ocupations, why do we give them somuchpriorities or let them earn big amount so easily? For instance, anentainer will receive about hundreds thousand per show, orascoccer player will be paid much more money thanentainers.Althoughwe admit that we can have a nice show to enjoy ora wonderful matchto match, there is no need to give them such bigamount. This iswhat they should do as a entainer or an athlete. This is theirjobs. All occupations should have equalstandard.Secondly, unequalization is also not good to the younggeneration. If mostyoung people know that they can earn more moneyas a athlete or anentainer, definitely they will go after. As aresult, they do notwant to do anything other than to be a athleteor an entainer.Whats more, this phenomena has an important impacton yong peopleabout their views towards money. They will think asan entainer heis so easy to get money as much as possible, which isnot good forhis development in future. They will becomemoney-goers.Last butnot least, athletes and entertainers sometimesshow bad examples totheir fans. It is known that fans followwhatever their idols do,even some bad habbits. Recently there is apiece of news reportedthat one famous singer found to be carryingprohibitted drugs in aKTV. Can you imagin what kind of side effectwe will face afterthis issue? Previously, idols are always perfectin most fansminds, but now they did such things, sometimes evenmore worse. Asa public person, they need to be careful about whatthey do.Inconclusion, i think some athletes and entertainers do notdeservehigh salaries because athletes and entertainers are the sameas theother jobs and they do whatever they should do, in additon, theysometimes show bad examples in front of the public.Topic:162Someathletes and entertainers earn millions of dollars annually.Incontrast, an elementary school teacher, on average, probablymakesless than $35,000 a year. I think the fact that thisdifference iscommonplace is a sign of our societys misplacedvalues. It showsthat we put more importance on entertaining ourchildren than oneducating them. It seems that the careers that arethe least valuedin our society often are those that are the mostimportant. Why isthis so? The market determines who gets paid what.Teachers arepaid by tax dollars.Sports teams make hundreds ofmillions ofdollars every year. These teams earn fabulous profitsfrom radioand television centers, as well as everything sold attheconcessions stands. The same is true of movies. They areproducedby studios that make huge profits annually. Theseenterprises canafford to pay their entertainers and sports figureshuge salaries, because those athletes and film stars draw people totheentertainment. Why are we willing to pay so much to see a ballgameor a movie, but not for a good teacher? Maybe its because wewantdistraction; we want to be entertained. Maybe its because wethinkof education as a center, while entertainment seems like aluxury. We expect to pay for our luxuries. Its not that I begrudgetheplayers and entertainers their huge salaries. Most of themhavevery short careers. Athletes may be too old in their early30s:Many of them gamble early in their lives on making it big inthesports or entertainment world, and deny themselves agoodeducation. They have little chance of a stable career, so theyneedto earn enough, money to support them for a long time. On theotherhand, most of us arent going to earn $10 million in alifetime ofwork. So its hard to sympathize with people who do.Wehave to askourselves: who really gives the most value to society?
